Deputies: 20 lbs of pot, 100+ grams of cocaine seized from Wilmington home

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office seized 20 pounds of pot, more than 100 grams of cocaine and a gun from who deputies say is a significant drug dealer.

After a 3-month investigation initiated by citizen’s information, detectives with the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office Vice-Narcotics Division arrested 38-year-old Shane Justin Hardymon.

Detectives conducted a search warrant on Friday February 9, at his home on Nun Street and discovered approximately 20 pounds of marijuana, 112 grams of cocaine and a .380 caliber handgun. The marijuana and cocaine have a street value of approximately $100,000.

Hardymon is a convicted felon with past drug trafficking related charges in Ohio.

He is currently being held at the New Hanover County Detention Facility under a $1,000,000 secured bond for drug trafficking related charges and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
