Wilmington Fire Department crisis-response dogs receive green vests for passing their training

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Two dogs who joined the Wilmington Fire Department in February have received their green vests.

The vests signify they have passed all of their necessary training.

Clyde and Jethro are the two newest members of the WFD family, which already consisted of Rhys, Heart and Axel.

“These dogs and their trainers have undergone many hours of training and have earned this distinction”, the Department says.
