Wilmington Leo & Lions Club to host The Blindfold Mile Challenge

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Wilmington Leo Club will host the 2nd annual Blindfold Mile Challenge on Saturday, March 21 at noon at the UNCW Greene Track. Participants will team up with a partner – one person will wear a blindfold, while the other will be a guide. Together, they will rely on communication and trust as they navigate the track while gaining an understanding of the challenges faced by people who are blind or partially sighted.
The Wilmington Leo Club hopes to raise awareness and funds for visually impaired people and programs.
Proceeds raised will support: Miracle League of Wilmington, Bryson’s Buddies Unified Baseball Game Day, and IndoJax Charities Visually Impaired Surf Camp.
