Wilmington man charged after fentanyl, cocaine, and weapons seized in drug bust

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A Wilmington man is facing multiple trafficking charges after a months-long investigation by the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office Vice & Narcotics Division.

According to a news release, deputies executed a search warrant on Tuesday at a home on McClammy Street, identified as the residence of Guy Braxton Williams. Inside, investigators say they seized more than 2,100 pressed fentanyl pills, 394 MDMA pills, 167 grams of cocaine, additional quantities of marijuana, four handguns, two rifles, and a stolen dirt bike.

Williams is charged with:

  • Two counts of trafficking opium/heroin

  • Two counts of trafficking MDMA

  • Two counts of trafficking cocaine

  • Possession of a firearm by a felon

  • Additional narcotics-related offenses

He is being held in the New Hanover County Detention Facility under a $1.5 million bond.
