Wilmington man sentenced to prison for sexual exploitation of minor charges

CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) — A Wilmington man has been sentenced to prison for multiple charges of sexual exploitation of a minor.

Ricky T. Webb Jr., 41, pled guilty on December 14, 2023 for the charges stemming from an Internet Crimes Against Children case investigated by the Carolina Beach Police Department.

Webb was arrested in May of 2023 for one count of First-Degree Sexual Exploitation of Minor, three counts of Second-Degree Sexual Exploitation of Minor, and five counts of Third-Degree Sexual Exploitation of Minor.

The accepted plea for all the charges was accepted in front of Superior Court Judge Frank Jones, who sentenced Webb to more than six years (73-148 months) active prison sentence along with a 30-year sex offender registration upon his release from prison.

The victim in the case was also granted a permanent no contact order which does not expire.
