Wilmington PeeWee Icehawks win the CHL Championship

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY)–It will be a season the Wilmington Icehawks youth hockey team will never forget. The Icehawks won the Carolinas Hockey League championship last weekend in Hillsborough.

The team consisted of kids aging from 11 to 12 years old from the Cape Fear area as well as six players from Columbia, SC. The Icehawks finished the season with a 21-4-2 record and 8-1 in their Southern Conference.
