Wilmington Police search for robbery suspect, stolen car

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington police are looking for a suspect from an armed robbery Saturday night.

Spokeswoman Cathryn Lindsay said officers were patrolling in the area of the 3600 Block of Metting Road when they were flagged down by two men who said they had just been robbed by a light skin, black male about 5’10”.

The suspect was wearing dark clothing and had his face covered. The suspect also had a small revolver.

The victims said they were meeting someone in the 100 block of Spring Ave., and were parked in the parking lot for about five min when the suspect came from around a building.

The suspect took the victim’s wallet and the rental vehicle they were driving. The rental was a 2014 black Nissan Altima.
