Wilmington Sharks fall in Petitt Cup Finals

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — After a historic season for the Wilmington Sharks, their season comes to an end as the Gastonia Grizzlies win the Coastal Plain League Petitt Cup.

Wilmington started off the season 1-9 at home, but followed that up breaking nine franchise records, winning the CPL East Division and making it to the Petitt Cup Championship series.

They were swept in the series 2-0 and lost game two 12-3.
