Wilson Center announces debut season lineup of Family Series

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY)—CFCC has announced the lineup for the Wilson Center Center Family Series.
The Family Series includes Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse in Concert, Encanto Sing Along, Omnium Circus, Stomp, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Musical, and Champions of Magic.
- Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse in Concert, September 18
Following the success of the Oscar®-winning animated Spider-Man film comes the anticipated sequel Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. Known for its groundbreaking soundtracks and innovative fusion of orchestral and electronic elements, this performance features the film on a colossal HD screen while a diverse ensemble of musicians performs the iconic soundtrack live. Experience Spider-Man like never before with a full orchestra, skilled scratch DJ, percussion, and electronic instrumentalists.
- Encanto Sing-Along, October 18
Encanto: The Sing-Along Film Concert provides an immersive experience into the beloved film and chart-topping soundtrack. While watching the beloved animated film, the live band Banda de la Casita performs all the music of the Academy Award®-winning songs, encouraging audiences to sing along to iconic hits like “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” and “Surface Pressure.” Fans are encouraged to dress as their favorite characters and transform CFCC’s Wilson Center into a celebration of the Madrigal family.

By celebrating diversity and enriching empathy, this show is pioneering an accessible circus experience that is fun for the whole family!
- STOMP, November 2
The international percussion sensation STOMP uses everything but conventional percussion instruments to fill the stage with a compelling and unique act. A unique combination of percussion, movement, and visual comedy, STOMP has created its own inimitable, contemporary form of rhythmic expression: both household and industrial objects find new life as musical instruments in the hands of an idiosyncratic band of body percussionists. Join us for a journey through sound, dance, and drum.
- Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Musical, November 16
Following six successful years of touring and more than 600 live performances, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer returns to the stage and features a holly, jolly cast of iconic characters, including Hermey the Elf, Yukon Cornelius, and the Abominable Snow Monster to help Santa save Christmas. Nostalgic set design, projections, costumes, and characters bring the 1964 stop-motion classic to life, recreating the magic of Christmas through talented cast members and puppeteers.

After a decade of touring the world as one of history’s most successful magic shows, the Champions of Magic team is back with an explosive show featuring thrilling and mind-bending illusions. Fusing their skills in grand-scale magic, a flair for spectacle, and undeniable showmanship, this interactive show will surely entertain the entire family. Combining their signature humor with groundbreaking magic, the world’s only team of illusionists presents a brand-new production, unlike anything that has come before.
As a part of the Hello Arts! grant program, the Family Series offers $15 student tickets for students of all ages and can be applied to any seat in the house.
Tickets will go on sale to Wilson Center Members beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 17 and to the general public at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 18.
