Wilson Center unveils 2025-2026 Broadway season

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Wilson Center at Cape Fear Community College is celebrating a decade of Broadway in Wilmington with a 2025-2026 season featuring returning fan favorites and new hits.

The PNC Broadway and the Beach season marks 10 years of professional Broadway touring productions at the Wilson Center.

According to the Wilson Center, the season opens with Emmy Award-winning actor Richard Thomas in Mark Twain Tonight! from Sept. 26–27. Thomas, known for roles in The Waltons, To Kill a Mockingbird, and Ozark, is the only actor to take on this iconic role since the original.

Executive director of the Wilson Center, Zach Pluer is looking forward to the diversity that the 10th season has to offer.

“I’m most looking forward to kinda the diverse variety of shows we have some classics returning, some favorites that have been here before, and also some new contemporary shows for younger folks. We are also building and ‘teching’ a whole Broadway tour here,” Pluer said.

Pluer added that they will be building the sets and working with the crew that will be coming down from New York to put on Mamma Mia! The national previews will be held in Wilmington.
