SOUTHEASTERN NORTH CAROLINA (WWAY) — Police in Tabor City and Wilmington are looking for two women who they say are suspects in a multi-county theft spree.

It started on Thursday, when Wilmington Police were called to investigate several car break-ins. Investigators say five cars were broken into at two different scenes. Credit cards, checks and IDs were among the items taken.

Tabor City police say the two women used the items they took to attempt to get money from several banks in Brunswick and Columbus counties.

Tabor City police say the pair were successful at getting $500 from a credit union in Ocean Isle Beach, but were unsuccessful in getting money from a bank in Shallotte.
They also attempted to get money from two banks in Tabor City, but were unsuccessful.
The pair are facing several charges, including Breaking and Entering, Larceny, Uttering and Forgery.
Tabor City Police and Wilmington Police are hoping surveillance images will help them track down the two women…and are asking anyone who has seen them to contact them.
