WWAY’s Good Evening Wilmington to focus on good news
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — News is often serious business. But it doesn’t always have to be.
Yes, a lot of news is often negative or sad or even dark. But there is plenty of good news going on, and many of you have told us you want to see it.
We listened. Now we’re delivering.
Starting tonight, WWAY launches Good Evening Wilmington. Every weeknight at 5:30 p.m., with anchor Daniel Seamans and Chief Meteorologist Scott Dean, Good Evening Wilmington will focus on the good things happening in our community and beyond. Along the way, there may be some tough stories we have to cover, but on “Good Evening Wilmington,” we are going to find the positive among the negative.
Just like any news station, we need your help to make Good Evening Wilmington and all our newscasts a success. Tell us about the stories, especially the good ones, going on in your community. Send us an e-mail at newsroom@wwaytv3.com, or give us a call at (910) 763-0979.
This is not the only change we’re making. We know your life is busy. That’s why we are picking up the pace throughout all our newscasts. Whether you start your day with Good Morning Carolina, catch up on the day’s headlines on WWAY NewsChannel 3 at 5 and 6 p.m. and Good Evening Wilmington or wrap up your night with WWAY NewsChannel 3 at 11 p.m., you’ll see more news that matters to you.
