Young girl fulfills dream, builds snowman inside children’s hospital

IOWA CITY, IA (KCRG) – Nurses and other staff members at the University of Iowa Children’s Hospital helped a young girl with cancer fulfill a lifetime dream this week when they helped her build a snowman inside the hospital.

Izabella “Bella” Esther Saul was admitted to the UI Children’s Hospital this week for treatment after her family moved to Waterloo from Texas. She had never had a chance to play in the snow prior to this week.

“[We] put some protection and stuff down and dumped snow and kind of laid it around, she didn’t know this was happening,” said Assistant Nurse Manager Heather Eastman. “Her smile was priceless.”
