On Thursday night we checked out the New Hanover boys soccer teams and new head coach TJ Rennie. Al Pastore recently resigned his coaching position at New Hanover. Rennie will coach both the boys and girls soccer teams at New Hanvover this season. The Wildcats hosted 2-A power Swansboro on Thursday... Also, we wrapped up our pre-season high school football previews with a look at the West Bladen Knights.

The dream season for Wilmington Post 10 ended on Monday afternoon. Scott Sandlin's squad had hopes of being the first Post 10 team to go the American Legion World Series since 1970.... It's no secret that football is a tough sport. As the season kicks off, we spoke with players, coaches and trainers on the sidelines about concussions and safety. This is a big topic on the national gridiron right now as the NFL is under scrutiny for medical issues associated with concussions.
