High School FootballBB&T Football Jamboree Preview It's already time for the 26th annual BB&T High School Football Jamboree. Today, WWAY's John Rendleman discussed the event with StarNews sports editor Dan Spears. FOOTBALL PREVIEW: Laney Buccaneers Laney High School will be one of ten teams participating in the BB&T Jamboree at Legion Stadium. Tonight we continue our series of preseason football capsules with a look at the 2012 Buccaneers. FOOTBALL PREVIEW: West Columbus Vikings West Columbus only won two games last season. The Vikings have not had a winning record since 2005, but new head coach Mark Little is out to change that. WWAY's John Rendleman has a pre-season look at this year's Viking squad. FOOTBALL PREVIEW: Ashley Screaming Eagles Ashley High School is one of the participating teams in the BB&T jamboree. Tom Eanes is back as the screaming eagles head coach. On Monday night we checked out the "Orange-Black" scrimmage at Legion Stadium. New Hanover High looked sharp just four nights before Friday's BB&T Jamboree... Pender County native Donnell Holmes won a pro bout over the weekend, but just barely.... The Pender Dixie Belles are undefeated after four games at the Dixie Youth World Series.... Plus more !

The first official practice day for high school football all across the state has come and gone. On Monday we checked out some of the sights and sounds on WWAY.... Raleigh native Tim Buckley has decided to come back to Raleigh to play for the Wolfpack. On Wednesday we featured Whiteville Post 137 on WWAY. Whiteville is just two wins away from securing a spot in the state championship for American Legion baseball.... Josh Rusk has been named the head football coach at South Brunswick High School. Rusk replaces Roman Kelly as the Cougars head coach. The Wilmington Sharks got back into the win column on Tuesday. We've got a complete game recap along with highlights on that. In the NBA Miami has a 3-1 lead now in the NBA best of seven finals.
