Beach residents react to upcoming storm

OAK ISLAND, NC (WWAY) — Wednesday, in Oak Island there were some people out at the beach, trying to enjoy the weather before it takes a potential turn.

The Storm Track 3 Weather Team is monitoring a system brewing in the tropics that is headed our way. But some who live near the beach, like Martha Hatley, aren’t too concerned about it.

“I don’t think we are going to have a whole lot. The rain probably won’t be much more than we normally have. But I am not really concerned or worried about it right now at this point,” Hatley said.

The Storm Track 3 weather team will be tracking this system while it passes through.
