NEW HANOVER COUNTY (WWAY) — Cape Fear Academy girls soccer took on Forsyth Country Day High School in the NCISSA state championship on Saturday.

Weather certainly played a factor in the game, most of it taking place on and off during the match up. Forsyth Country would get on the board early with three goals in the first period. The Hurricanes had a tough time really getting any offense going throughout the game, they would fall to Forsyth Country in the championship game 3-0.

The Hurricanes despite being on the losing end, finished the season with a 19-2 record.
