Cloudy skies expected for Tuesday

(WWAY) — A mild afternoon with some upper level clouds are expected for today.
A weakening cold front will slide across the region today as strong high pressure begins to ridge in from the north. It will bring mostly cloudy skies with a mild afternoon high around 70.
Strong high pressure from the north ridges down and into the Carolinas Wednesday bringing breezy northeast winds along with sunshine and clouds mixed. Look for a cool high in the middle 60s.
A sharpening coastal trough over the waters will combine with strong high pressure from the north to bring mostly cloudy skies Thursday with a slight chance of a shower and moderating highs around or a little over 70.
Friday and this coming weekend high pressure will remain in charge bringing very nice weather for the Azalea Fest in Wilmington.
Look for partly cloudy skies Friday and mostly sunny weather Saturday and Sunday. Highs will reach the mid to upper 70s Friday and near 80 this weekend!
