Five former Wilmington Sharks players taking part in MLB Spring Training

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A handful of former Wilmington Sharks baseball players are on MLB rosters this Spring Training.

Mitch Spence (2017 Shark), Ryan Jeffers (2016 Shark), Alec Bohm (2016 Shark), Matt Whatley (2015 Shark) and Emilio Pagan (2011 Shark) are taking part in games either in the Arizona Cactus League or the Florida Grapefruit League.

Out of the 30 Major League teams, 27 of them have at least one former Coastal Plain League player.
