Former CFCC basketball player takes part in WNBA combine event

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Former CFCC basketball star Nyjanique “Ny” Langley is setting her sights on professional basketball.
Langley recently took part the WNBA Combine held in Cleveland, Ohio.
The milestone represents a big step in her journey from junior college-level champion to professional basketball prospect.
Langley transferred from CFCC to Duquesne University in 2019, eventually switching again to Virginia Union University to be closer to family.
Her performance at VUU caught the eye of scouts from the WNBA and international professional basketball leagues.
“I am incredibly thankful for the opportunity to showcase my skills in front of so many renowned coaches and recruiters,” Langley said. “I have submitted my applications to be considered for the WNBA draft, and I am ready to seize the opportunity. Basketball is a beautiful thing that brings important people into your life, and I will always cherish my time at CFCC.”
Langley is now waiting to see the results of the upcoming WNBA draft, which will take place on April 15th.
