Free deer hunting seminars offered across NC this month

RALEIGH, NC (AP) — The North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission and the Quality Deer Management Association are offering introductory hunting seminars this month.

The free seminars for new and experienced hunters will be held 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. beginning Tuesday in Raleigh. Topics will include deer biology, hunting methods, equipment and clothing, along with field care of deer, processing and recipes.

According to the Quality Deer Management Association’s website, one of the seminars will be held at Allen Brothers Hunting Preserve in Bladen County on Sept. 29. Click here for details and to see the full list of seminars.

The seminar in Raleigh is one of 10 being held statewide. The last seminar will be held Sept. 30 in Concord unless the Raleigh event is full. In that case, an additional workshop will be held Oct. 6 in Raleigh.
