Hermine exits Cape Fear, weekend weather improves


SOUTHEASTERN, NC (WWAY) — Hermine has pushed away from the Cape Fear region and continues to track toward the northeast as a post-tropical cyclone.

Hermine produced tropical storm-force wind gusts and several inches of rain with some totals as high 10 inches.

Conditions will be improving Saturday as high pressure builds in. Dry and sunny sunny weather expected through Labor Day.

Tropical Storm Hermine will likely spin off the Mid-Atlantic coast through early portions of next week.
