Bands of heavy rain from Debby will continue to rotate in throughout the Cape Fear
SOUTHEASTERN NC (WWAY) — Impacts from Debby will continue today and Thursday as the system slowly moves offshore of the South Carolina coast and eventually to a second landfall along the central South Carolina shore late tonight or Thursday morning… then continuing northwest Thursday Night into Friday morning through central North Carolina.
We’ll continue to see bands of heavy rain rotate in throughout today with a few embedded rotating storms not out of the question. Flash flooding and long-term flooding become major risks with as much as 10″-12″+ falling over the region.
We’ll receive a moderate impact from gusty winds (30-40+ mph) and a that risk for a few isolated tornadoes as the eastern bands rotate in through Thursday.
