Living Word church in Winnabow opens for those stranded
WINNABOW, NC (WWAY) — A church in Brunswick County has opened its doors to drivers who are stranded due to flooding.
Living Word Church, located at 1029 George II Highway, is now open to those who are unable to continue their travels.
For those who can safely reach the church, Living Word has staff on hand to offer food, restrooms, and access to Wi-Fi. Meals are being prepared, and visitors are encouraged to make themselves comfortable during their stay.
Living Word Church has urged its members not to attempt to travel to the church due to dangerous road conditions.
