McCall Farms issues recall for spinach sold at ALDIs in 16 states
Effingham, S.C. (WPDE) — McCall Farms is recalling canned spinach sold in ALDI’s across 16 states, according to the FDA.
The voluntary recall is of Happy Harvest Spinach in 13.5 oz cans due to the “potential presence of peanuts resulting from product mislabeling.”
The spinach was sold in: Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Virginia, Wisconsin, and West Virginia.
No illnesses have been reported and no other ALDI or McCall Farms products are affected by this recall, the FDA states.
The lot code is A23IX, the best-by date is January 2021 and the UPC code is 041498131289.
