Multi-agency operation leads to 15 people arrested in Bladen County

BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Bladen County Sheriff’s Office arrested 15 people on drug and gun charges on Tuesday.

The sheriff’s office said they received multiple complaints in reference to the sale and delivery of controlled substances in Bladenboro, Elizabethtown, and Clarkton areas.

During a multi-agency round-up, 15 of the 26 identified targets were arrested and warrants for over 80 criminal charges were secured where the Probation and Parole and United States Marshal Service assisted.

During the arrests one rifle, one pistol, 22.1 grams of Methamphetamine, 8.5 grams of Marijuana, 0.4 grams of crack cocaine, 14 dosage units of MDMA, and 13 dosage units of suboxone.

The following were arrested:

  • Thomas Hammonds, 58 of Chadbourn
    • Possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver controlled substance
    • Felony possession of scheduled II controlled substance
  • Gary Cater, 65 of Elizabethtown
    • Felony possession of scheduled II controlled substance
    • Possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver controlled substance
  • James Ezzel, 50 of Clarkton
    • Felony possession of scheduled II controlled substance
    • Conspire sell/methamphetamine
    • Maintain a vehicle/dwelling for the use of controlled substances
    • DWLR not impaired revocation
    • Possess drug paraphernalia
  • Dwayne Campbell Jr., 34 of Clarkton
    • Felony possession of scheduled II controlled substance
    • Possess drug paraphernalia
    • Served with two OFA’s
  • Rubin Harrelson Jr., 50 of Clarkton (on parole)
    • Conspire sell/methamphetamine
    • Parole violation warrant
    • Additional charges coming
  • Damon Mullins, 50 of East Arcadia
    • Possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver controlled substance
    • Additional charges coming
  • Jashaune George, 30 of Clarkton
    • Possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver controlled substance
    • Possession of firearm by felon
    • Felony possession of scheduled II controlled substance
    • Maintain a vehicle/dwelling for the use of controlled substances
  • Dustin Norris, 35 of Elizabethtown
    • Felony probation violations
  • Brittany Clewis, 36 of Clarkton
    • Felony possession of scheduled II controlled substance
  • Monica Britt, 39 of Bladenboro
    • Possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver controlled substance
  • Briana Rogers, 39 of Elizabethtown
    • 3 counts of felony possession of scheduled II controlled substance
  • Rachel Norris, 35 of Clarkton
    • Felony probation violation
  • Franklin Pharr, 41 of Elizabethtown
    • 2 counts of indecent Liberties with child
    • Sexual Battery
    • Possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver controlled substance SCH I
    • Possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver controlled substance SCH II
    • Maintaining a vehicle for the keeping and selling of controlled substance
    • Possession of stolen firearm

  • Latoyia Mclaurin, 38 of Elizabethtown
    • Felony Child Abuse – sexual act
  • Vickie Godwin, 40 of Tar Heel
    • Felony possession of scheduled II controlled substance
    • Possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver controlled substance SCH II
    • Manufacture controlled substance SCH II
    • Maintain a dwelling for the keeping and selling of controlled substances

The Bladen County Sheriff’s Office says the investigation is ongoing for the other 11 suspects.
