OCB Gains and Glory bodybuilding competition takes place in downtown Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — As the saying often goes “no pain, no gain.” Well for some bodybuilders on Saturday, the gains brought some glory.

The OCB Gains and Glory natural bodybuilding competition took place in downtown Wilmington at the North Front Theater. The Organization of Competitive Bodies is an all natural, drug free organization that hosts shows across the United States. Dozens of competitors stepped on stage to show their physiques, competing in different categorizes such as Men’s and Women’s Physique, Bikini, Figure and Wellness. A wide variety of ages participated from teenagers to 40+.

“It’s just been a dream of mine to always host a bodybuilding show and its close to home. So, its nice for a lot of athletes who want to compete, they don’t have to commute very far,” said Amy Riggan, the shows promoter.

Winners of the event received trophies, medals and some received their pro-cards and will compete in up coming events later this year.
