Pet Pals: Big, fluffy Golden Retriever mix looking for forever home

WILMINGTON (WWAY) — This week’s Pet Pal is Max, a 3-year-old Golden Retriever mix.

The New Hanover Humane Society says he was surrendered by his owner because their other dog did not get along with Max, but so far he has gotten along well with other dogs at the shelter.

The shelter says he’s past the puppy stage but is still in need of some training, and he has a lot of energy. He loves to play fetch and gets the zoomies. He’s a big boy at around 75 pounds, so he’d do best with an active family who can handle a big dog.
