SOUTHPORT (WWAY) — The Southport Police Department vows to “protect and serve,” whatever the call.
Even if that includes removing wild reptiles from swimming pools.
According to a Facebook post from the Southport Police Department, officers were dispatched to a home in Indigo Plantation Thursday night where a small gator was taking a dip. Officers safely removed and relocated the animal — who was probably not happy about the interruption.
