South Carolina authorities seize 15 pounds of cocaine

GREENVILLE, SC (AP) — South Carolina authorities have made four arrests and seized about 15 pounds of cocaine.

The Greenville News reports (http://goo.gl/R6kPhj ) that the drugs worth $700,000 were bound for Anderson County.

Anderson County Sheriff’s Lt. Sheila Cole said Friday that the investigation was conducted by local authorities and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

The drugs were found after agents stopped four men driving a truck and a sedan with out-of-state tags. The drugs were found when the vehicles were searched.

The suspects are residents of Georgia and Texas. They were charged with trafficking.
