The Town of Leland lifts burn ban
LELAND, NC (WWAY) — The Town of Leland lifts the burn ban Monday at 5 p.m.
The burn ban was issued Friday due to weather conditions creating hazardous days to open burn.
Fire official urge residents to continue to burn responsibly. They encourage people to check restrictions before burning, monitor weather conditions, and never leave a fire unattended.
Burn permits are available from authorized permitting agents or online through the NC Forest Service.
