UNCW Basketball falls in CAA Tournament to Towson 66-56

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WWAY) — UNCW Basketball fell to Towson 66-56 in the CAA Tournament on Sunday.

The Seahawks recently beat Towson in their last game of the regular season at Trask Coliseum 75-64 on March 2nd. Trazarien White had a game high 24 points for UNCW, with senior Shykeim Phillips adding 16. With a little more than 3:00 left in the second half, the Seahawks got the game within two points at 53-51. But, it was Towson who emerged with the win downing the Seahawks 65-56, ending UNCW’s CAA Tournament hopes.
