UNCW Track and Field shine despite the weather at Seahawk Invitational

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Despite some less than ideal weather, the UNCW Track and Field team had a stellar showing at the UNCW Seahawk Invitational.

UNCW racked up 20 first-place finishes at the two-day event at the Harold Greene Track and Field Complex.

Seahawks Miles Higgins and Jordyn Robbins took both the men’s and women’s javelin competition. Courtney Lines also won two events,  the women’s Long Jump and Triple Jump event. Bryan Robinson and Ivan Poag on the men’s side, winning the Long Jump and Triple Jump as well. The Seahawks also claimed victories in the men’s and women’s 400 Meters.

On top of that, UNCW also inducting Ernest Asante, Debbi Marin, Brandon Mitchell and Randy Cooper into the UNCW Track and Field Hall of Fame.
