UPDATE: Six people charged in Bladen Co. man’s 2021 disappearance, still no body

LAURINBURG, NC (WWAY) — As law enforcement continues looking for the body of a Bladen County man who went missing three years ago, six people are now facing charges connected to his disappearance and murder and more arrests could be on the way.
The Scotland County Sheriff’s Office told our affiliate WPDE, so far, they still have not found the body of Brandon Carl Wayne McDonald, but they have arrested six people for his disappearance and three people are charged with his murder.
The investigation of McDonald, who was last seen in Scotland County in March of 2021 after leaving his home in Clarkton, seemed to make strides in recent weeks when deputies questioned 15 possible suspects, according to Lt. Earl Haywood with the Scotland County Sheriff’s Office.
Michael Anthony “Blu” Bethea Jr., Shelena Lynn Clark, and LaKeithan “Joe” JuJuan Tyson are all charged with First Degree Murder, Felony Conspiracy to Commit Murder, and Concealment of Death.
