Video shows coyote attacking dog in suburban Illinois backyard

CHICAGO (WNCN) – A Chicago-area dog is lucky to be alive after a coyote attacked and thrashed the terrier in its backyard.

“Boozer” had only been outside for a few moments when the coyote approaches from a distance and attacks, CBS Chicago reported.

Luckily for Boozer, his owner was able to scare off the coyote before the attack turned deadly.

Boozer’s owner said the dog has been a part of the family for 15 years.
