Walk-off single sends Ashley baseball to the 4A state championship series
NEW HANOVER COUNTY (WWAY) — The Ashley Screaming Eagles baseball team is heading to the state championship.
In game three against Cardinal Gibbons at home in the bottom of the 7th inning with no score, Drew Potter hit a walk-off single to send the Screaming Eagles to the state championship series against TC Roberson.
The game was delayed in the bottom of the 4th inning due to lighting, but the delay only lasted 30 minutes.
