Warming Shelter to open Tuesday, Wednesday nights

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A Warming Shelter is opening in Wilmington this week when temperatures are expected to dip below freezing.
The shelter is an overnight, emergency pop-up shelter that opens during Wilmington’s cold nights and offers anyone in need a warm and safe space.
The shelter is opening on Tuesday and Wednesday night, when temperatures are expected to drop as low as 26 degrees.
The location is at 401 Grace Street at Grace United Methodist Church in downtown Wilmington. Guests can check in starting at 5:30 p.m.
