Sir Walter Wally predicts early spring
RALEIGH, NC (WWAY) — The rodent forecasters appear to be in agreement: Spring will come early.
Sir Walter Wally, the resident groundhog meteorologist at the NC Museum of Natural Sciences in Raleigh, did not see his shadow today, thus predicting an early end to winter.
Wally joins Pennsylvania’s Punxsatawney Phil and Georgia’s Gen. Beauregard Lee among famous groundhogs who did not see their shadow on this already springlike Groundhog Day.
