Woman uses lottery winnings to buy motel room for homeless man

WAREHAM, MA (WCVB) —A woman’s good fortune turned better when she saw an immediate opportunity to give back.

Sofia Andrade had just won $200 on a scratch ticket and was at a stop sign in New Bedford when she saw Glenn Williams.

Williams has been homeless for three years and was panhandling in the bitter cold Saturday night.
