Luke Walker joined WWAY in August 2025 as the producer of Good Morning Carolina.
Before moving to Wilmington, Luke graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in May 2025 with a bachelor’s degree in communication studies and a minor in history. While at UNC, he developed an interest in television news through his work on the student-run shows Carolina Week and Rise and Shine, as well as his involvement with the student newspaper, The Daily Tar Heel. Through these experiences, Luke discovered a passion for production and built a strong foundation in news storytelling.
Outside of the newsroom, Luke enjoys watching his Tar Heels compete in any sport, along with cheering for the Thunder, Steelers, Braves, and Hurricanes. He also likes playing video games, staying active with sports of all kinds, and spending time with friends and family. New to the Cape Fear region, Luke is excited to learn more about the area and become involved in the local community.
