Tim Hower co-hosts our football show 5th Quarter and basketball show Full Court Press with Sports Anchor Jake Eichstaedt.
Tim has been covering local sports for two decades.
Originally from Pennsylvania, Tim moved to Wilmington when he was 10 years old and was part of the second graduating class at Ashley High School in 2004. While at Ashley, Tim played tennis and wrestled.
Tim spent 16 years working at the StarNews, where he covered high school and UNCW sports. In May 2018, he founded Coastal Preps, a news-based website where he covers 14 area high schools and seven local middle schools.
When he’s not at a sporting event, Tim enjoys spending time with his family and friends, playing tennis, cheering on the Michigan Wolverines and all Philadelphia pro teams, attending Lifepoint Church and volunteering at Alderman Elementary School. He’s also a proud coach of the Miracle League Diamondbacks!
