CrossFit Reignited preparing for 2024 CrossFit Games in Texas
NEW HANOVER COUNTY (WWAY) — Nearly 80 of the worlds fittest athletes will travel to Texas next week to compete against one another, with one group specifically from Wilmington.
CrossFit Reignited will travel to Fort Worth, Texas next week for the 2024 CrossFit Games. According to the CrossFit Games website, the yearly competition looks to crown the fittest man and woman in world. The CrossFit Reignited team has been training since February for this event, with a four person squad looking to show they have what it takes to compete against 29 other teams. One of the team members is Stephanie Grange, who said while the training has been challenging, the team has kept things upbeat.
“Our team has just kept it low-key and had fun this season. I think that was the biggest thing for everybody coming into the season. We’ve all done this a couple times, you can get burnt out really easily. But, just moving and having fun together and cutting up, making jokes throughout practice has really made it a good time. It keeps morale high, and it keeps the stress low, and it makes it fun.”
