Cameron Art Museum announces winter programs

The Cameron Art Museum in Wilmington is kicking off the new year with a huge list of programming for children and adults.  The events include Martin Luther King holiday programming for kids, homeschooling help, painting classes, readings, yoga, and the return of Jazz@cam.

Columbus County loses beloved Aunt Sarah

Columbus County has lost one woman, beloved by many. We first met Aunt Sarah Sledge back in July. At age 93, she was still working at the Ambassador Camp at Lake Waccamaw, which she started back in 1957.

NC court resume payments to emergency judges

North Carolina's courts are again paying judges who fill in during an emergency. The Winston-Salem Journal reported that the Administrative Office of the Courts has resumed $400-a-day payments to emergency judges after they stopped several weeks ago due to budget cutbacks.

NC alienation of affection law gets tougher

The opportunity to sue over alienation of affection in North Carolina is narrower. The Winston-Salem Journal reported that a state law that went into effect last week limits the circumstances in which a spouse's extramarital lover can be sued.
