Cameron Art Museum announces winter programs

The Cameron Art Museum in Wilmington is kicking off the new year with a huge list of programming for children and adults.  The events include Martin Luther King holiday programming for kids, homeschooling help, painting classes, readings, yoga, and the return of Jazz@cam.

Brunswick sheriffs looking for burglary suspect

The Brunswick County Sheriff's Office needs your help finding a burglary suspect. Forty-year-old Rodney Suggs is wanted for first-degree burglary and larceny after allegedly breaking into a home last Thursday.

Waiting period for club membership could be history

A rule requiring a three-day waiting period to join a private club that sells alcohol could soon be history in a bill going to Governor Bev Perdue's desk. The Senate gave final approval Monday night to a House bill eliminating the membership wait.

Close battle between police and firefighters

There was quite a battle at Buck Hardy field Monday night. It was a clash of the titans as Wilmington Police took on Wilmington Firefighters. A good crowd turned out for the game. Allegiances were split, although the firemen did some good pre-game marketing with fire hats.
