Cameron Art Museum announces winter programs

The Cameron Art Museum in Wilmington is kicking off the new year with a huge list of programming for children and adults.  The events include Martin Luther King holiday programming for kids, homeschooling help, painting classes, readings, yoga, and the return of Jazz@cam.

New jobs coming to Columbus County

Atlantic Automotive Enterprises is moving it's facility from Longs, South Carolina, to Tabor City and plans to create 23 new jobs for the Columbus County town.

DOT using recovery funds in Brunswick County

The State Department of Transportation will soon be putting recovery funds to work in Brunswick County. A $6.3 million contract was awarded to ST Wooten Corporation of Wilson to extend Smith Avenue in Shallotte from west of Highway 17 Business.

Navassa resident hires attorney to fight group home

Navassa residents are up in arms about town officials allowing a developer to build a group home for troubled teens. A man who lives adjacent to the property where the home would be located has hired an attorney to represent him.
