Cameron Art Museum announces winter programs

The Cameron Art Museum in Wilmington is kicking off the new year with a huge list of programming for children and adults.  The events include Martin Luther King holiday programming for kids, homeschooling help, painting classes, readings, yoga, and the return of Jazz@cam.

Slide downward continues for Perdue's approval rating

As the state's budget woes continue, Governor Bev Perdue's approval rating continues to slide. A survey by Raleigh-based Public Policy Polling found just 25 percent of North Carolina voters approve of the job the governor is doing six months into the job.

Wilmington City Council race has three new candidates

Three candidates threw their hat in the ring today for this year's Wilmington City Council elections. Incumbents Jim Quinn and Earl Sheridan signed the line for re-election while Charlie Rivenbark will once again join the race after taking a few years off.

The winners have been announced for the Ugliest Website Contest - Communities in Schools of Cape Fear. The local non-profit organization focuses on keeping kids in school and reducing the drop out rate.
