Cameron Art Museum announces winter programs

The Cameron Art Museum in Wilmington is kicking off the new year with a huge list of programming for children and adults.  The events include Martin Luther King holiday programming for kids, homeschooling help, painting classes, readings, yoga, and the return of Jazz@cam.  

Orlando Jones headlines Family Promise 25th Anniversary Low Country Boil

Family Promise of the Lower Cape Fear looks to a world in which every family has a home, a livelihood, and the chance to build a better future.  It is celebrating 25 years of providing case management, transitional housing, and emergency shelter to families in need.  The 25th Anniversary Celebration Low Country Boil has a happy hour, dinner, and entertainment from comedian Orlando Jones.  

Southport - Fort Fisher ferry closing

Global Day of Prayer held in Wilmington

More than three hundred million people in 210 countries prayed together yesterday as part of the Global Day of Prayer. Here in Wilmington, worshipers filled Myrtle Grove Presbyterian Church. The original location was Legion Stadium, but the rain forced the event to move indoors.

Trial to begin in 1999 murder

The trial is scheduled to start today for a man accused of killing a FBI employee nearly a decade ago. It took a six-year investigation and a man hunt that led federal agents to Louisiana in 2005, to finally bring Tyrone Delgado back to Wilmington to stand trial for the murder of Melissa Mooney.

UNCW Graduation

videoOver 1,800 UNCW students graduated on Sunday. In fact the university held 3 commencement ceremonies to accommodate everyone.

Stamp Out Hunger

It's for the 16th annual "Stamp Out Hunger" food drive. Local letter carriers from the U.S Postal Service work with local food banks to help feed those who are hungry this mother's day.
