Pender Co. woman going viral with sign supporting Taylor Swift, Ravens at AFC Championship

SURF CITY, NC (WWAY) — A Pender County woman got lots of attention Sunday night in Baltimore when the Kansas City Chiefs stamped their ticket to the Super Bowl with the sign she made for Taylor Swift.

Amy Fowler Shores and her son are big Ravens fans. They have been driving to all of the home games in Baltimore for the last three years.

Taylor Swift has been at a lot of the Chiefs’ games this season, because she is dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

Shores made a large sign for the AFC Championship game that said, ‘Hey Taylor! Our “Love Story” has a different ring to it. Beat the FLOCK out of KC!’.

Pictures of Shores with her sign started going viral on ‘X’, formerly known as Twitter, on Sunday. Many people shared tweets and pictures of Shores with her sign applauding her for respectfully showing support for Taylor Swift while also supporting the other team. One tweet said, ‘See this is funny and light hearted and not burning her face.’ Other tweets applauded Shores for understanding how to make a joke with your competitor without being angry and aggressive.

While Shores is not thrilled with the outcome of the game, she said she had an incredible experience at the AFC Championship.

“My 29 year old son has been a Ravens fan since he was a little boy,” Shores said. “We have driven seven hours to Baltimore for every home game for the past three years. Win or lose, I wouldn’t trade it for the world!”
