WWAY Student Athlete of the Week: Hannah Jackson
LELAND, NC (WWAY) — Setting and accomplishing goals on and off the pitch is the name of the game for this WWAY Student Athlete of the Week, Hannah Jackson.
Jackson is senior soccer player for North Brunswick High School’s girls soccer team and is competitive when it comes to the classroom and sports. So far through 9 games this season, Jackson has scored 9 total goals. When she’s not getting it done on the soccer field, she is working even harder in the classroom. Jackson also has been enrolled at Brunswsick Community College for the past two years and will receive her Associates Degree in December of this year.
Jackson’s advice for other student athletes is to always give it your best effort, because you never know who’s watching.
“Put your best foot forward in everything you do and be consistent in everything you do. Whether that’s in the classroom or trying your hardest in classes and your quizzes, tests and whatever you’re studying for. Then off the field when you’re consistently putting your best foot forward and trying your hardest, teammates and your coaches are going to see that and it’s not going to go unnoticed,” she explained.
Jackson said she plans to attend UNCW after graduation where she will study public health.
