Cynthia Cooper-Dyke continues to work magic as the head coach of the UNC Wilmington women's basketball team. The Seahawks will be advancing to the second round of the WNIT. UNCW will host Eastern Michigan on Monday at Trask Coliseum.

Eddie Biedenbach used to be a permanent resident at Wrightsville Beach. The UNC Asheville head basketball coach occasionally pops in for a coastal visit during the off season. Brad Brownell used to call Wilmington home. Brownell now coaches Clemson. Interestingly enough, UNC Asheville and Clemson were the only two winning teams on Tuesday night in the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament.

The Tar Heels needed a miraculous finish to win Friday. They got it against Miami. Saturday UNC made another come from behind victory to beat Clemson. The win moves the Tar Heels into Sunday's ACC championship game, where they'll take on archrival Duke.

It's going to be hard to beat Friday's action from the ACC Tournament. UNC won at the buzzer, but the UNC-Miami game wasn't the only game to go down to the wire. On a side note, former UNCW coach Brad Brownell didn't have any problem picking up a win in his first ACC Tournament.

Other than diehard UNC fans not many people predicted North Carolina as the regular season champion of the ACC this season. It's true though. The Heels beat Duke in the regular season finale to earn the top seed in next week's ACC Tournament.
